After last weeks start, we repeated the same mistake at the start of this game giving a 3 goal lead away. I will be onto the Charity commission as surely we are one of the most charitable teams at the start of the game.

Missing both Bastien and Jayden to being unwell or recovering, and after the shaky start, the team really did go through the gears and had the bit between the teeth. Angus, in goal gaining confidence and bringing others into play from the goal kicks and after shot blocks. Josh and Henry becoming more solid and organised, ensuring they were alert to breaks in play and man marking the Hatfield threats. Jessica in her favoured positioning around the centre of the pitch, being tenacious in the tackles and linking up with those around here. Maksim was a bit isolated in the first half as he was pushing a high line, but we didnt get the link up play as well as we liked. One to learn for the team in getting more into the play if the ball is not forthcoming. Cullen and William coming on helped us and changed the pace of the game and with William's pace and dribbling skills, we got back to 3-3 , with a great hat trick (the teams first) by William. Still pressing, William forced an own goal from a fierce cross gave which gave us the lead.
Josh went in Goal for the second half and was throwing himself across the goal, although was fortunate when they hit the post (he told me he had it covered !).Unfortunately, they scored 2 goals in quick succession to retake the lead, but to be fair the 1st of these was a great shot in off the post.

However, the Vikings dug deep and after some great tackling from Henry and William, the ball broke for Cullen who smashed home an fully deserved equaliser. We had quite a few other chances but denied by some great goalkeeping from the Tigers, which was probably the difference today. There was some harsh tackling, especially on William, which went unpunished and caused us to sub him for a while. Angus, came back on and was straight into the thick of it with some good midfield play.
It looked like ours to win, but they nicked a 6th and time ran out on us. The last 3 games have seen us score plenty of goals and 2 losses both by 1 goal is hard to take, but as the team get more alert early it will enable us to not chase the game and our goal ratio going forward is a great reflection on the teams threat going forwards.
